Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for a full-time position with school districts in the San Antonio, Texas area for the upcoming 20252026 school year. Bilingual Spanish is preferred but not required, offering an additional advantage for effective communication in diverse educational settings.
Position Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Valid Texas Certification: Possess a current Texas license or certificate as a Speech Language Pathologist, as required by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Accredited Degree: Hold a masters degree (or higher) in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.

Clinical Fellowship: Completion of a clinical fellowship under the supervision of a licensed speech language pathologist, in accordance with Texas regulations.

Background Checks: Must successfully pass state-mandated background checks and fingerprinting.

Health Requirements: Up-to-date TB test and immunization records in compliance with district and state health standards.
Typical Responsibilities Include:

Providing comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy to students with communication disorders.

Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents.

Designing and delivering tailored therapy sessions to address specific student needs.

Documenting progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing regular reports on student performance.

Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support overall student development.

Participating in professional development and ongoing training to maintain high standards of service.
