Qualifications & Requirements:
All applicants must meet California state and local requirements for school-based speech-language pathology services, including:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
-
Current California Speech-Language Pathology License from the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board (SLPAHADB)
-
California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential in Language, Speech, and Hearing (required for public school positions)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
-
Live Scan fingerprint clearance
-
TB test clearance
-
Prior school-based experience preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and evaluations for students with speech and language disorders

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Provide direct therapy services in both individual and group formats
-
Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to support communication goals
-
Maintain accurate records and comply with district, state, and federal regulations
-
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and IEP planning sessions
