Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists for full-time opportunities with school districts in the Birmingham, AL area for the 20252026 school year. Requirements:
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited university

Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA)
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA preferred
-
Clinical Fellows (CFs) may be considered depending on district need
-
Prior school-based experience is preferred

Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required by the hiring school district
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and parents
-
Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings
-
Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
-
Maintain accurate documentation and service logs
-
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
