Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) for a full-time position supporting school districts in the Birmingham, AL area. Qualifications & Requirements:
To be considered, applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Valid Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (ABESPA) license

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited program
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) issued by ASHA preferred (CFY considered)
-
Alabama State Department of Education Professional Educator Certificate (or eligibility for certification in Speech-Language Pathology)
-
Completion of required background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by the Alabama State Department of Education
-
Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is strongly preferred
-
Proficiency with IEP development and progress monitoring
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate and diagnose students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
-
Design and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs
-
Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
-
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
-
Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed
-
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to support student success
-
Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with school district and state policies
