We are seeking a licensed and certified School Social Worker to join our team in the Virginia Beach area. This position is dedicated to addressing students social, emotional, and behavioral needs to support their academic success and personal growth within the school setting.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges

Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop effective strategies that promote student well-being

Conduct assessments and create intervention plans tailored to student needs

Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior plans

Act as a liaison between the school, families, and community resources

Maintain confidential and accurate documentation following school and state regulations
Qualifications:

Active social work license (LMSW or LCSW)

Certification from the Virginia Department of Education for school social work

Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program

Knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

Experience in a school environment preferred
