Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time position with a school district in the Romeoville, IL area. To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following state and local requirements:

Masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA (preferred, not required for CFs)

Fluent in Spanish and English (required)

Previous experience in school-based settings is preferred

Strong understanding of IEP processes, evaluations, and therapy documentation
-
Ability to collaborate effectively with multilingual students and families
Key Responsibilities:
-
Conduct comprehensive bilingual speech and language assessments
-
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans (IEPs) in compliance with IDEA
-
Deliver direct therapy services to students with communication disorders
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
-
Support language development in both English and Spanish across various grade levels
