We are partnering with a supportive school district in South Carolina to find a dedicated OT for the current school year. Start Date: ASAP End Date: May 28, 2025 Hours/Week: 40 hours
Caseload/Details:
- Early childhood (ages 2-5)
- School-aged students (specific caseload size to be discussed)
Job Duties:
As a school-based Occupational Therapist, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to determine students' fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, and visual-motor needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) and treatment plans.
- Providing direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students in various settings (classroom, individual, small group).
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate therapy goals into the student's daily routine.
- Documenting student progress, maintaining accurate records, and participating in IEP meetings.
- Adapting and modifying environments and tasks to promote student participation and independence.
Requirements:
- Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license in South Carolina is required.
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compensation:
This is a contract position with an average hourly rate of $40-$50 based on experience.
