We are actively seeking dedicated and passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our supportive school district in charming Leonardtown, Maryland. We have both full-time and part-time opportunities available, working with an elementary to high school caseload.
Opportunities Available:
- 1 Full-Time SLP Position: Hybrid or onsite minimum 3 days onsite required.
- 1 Part-Time SLP Position: 20 hours per week.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
As a school-based SLP, you will play a crucial role in preventing, assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, social communication, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in students from elementary through high school. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders and their impact on academic performance.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) with measurable goals and objectives.
- Providing direct therapy services to students through individual and/or group sessions.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to integrate communication goals into the classroom setting.
- Monitoring student progress, collecting data, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes and IEP reports.
- Participating in IEP meetings and other school team meetings.
- Providing consultation and guidance to school staff and families on communication strategies.
- Utilizing evidence-based practices in all assessment and intervention activities.
Compensation:
This contract position offers an average hourly rate of $45-$55 based on experience.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland educator license in Speech-Language Pathology is required.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA is preferred.
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
