Position Overview:
Required Qualifications:
All applicants must meet state and local certification/licensure requirements, including:

Valid Illinois Occupational Therapy License issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)

Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)

Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
-
Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
-
Successful completion of state-mandated background checks and fingerprinting per Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) guidelines
Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate students to determine eligibility and need for occupational therapy services
-
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students IEP goals
-
Deliver direct and consultative services to support fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
-
Collaborate with teachers, families, and IEP team members to create accessible learning environments
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services, progress, and compliance
-
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team assessments
-
Educate staff and families on strategies to support students' functional independence
