Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all state and local requirements, including:

Valid New York State License in Speech-Language Pathology

Valid New York State Teaching Certification in Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD)

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred

Completion of required background checks and fingerprinting per New York State Education Department (NYSED) guidelines
Typical Responsibilities:

Conduct speech, language, voice, and fluency evaluations

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs

Provide direct and consultative therapy services to students

Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development

Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and service logs in compliance with state and district guidelines
-
Participate in IEP meetings and team planning sessions
-
Support generalization of communication skills across academic and social settings
