Qualifications:
Applicants must meet all Virginia state and local requirements, including:

Associates degree from an SLPA program or a bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders

Valid Virginia SLPA license or registration through the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Supervision agreement with a licensed SLP in place (or ability to obtain)

Ability to pass all required background checks and school district screenings

Previous school-based experience preferred
Typical Responsibilities Include:

Providing direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed SLP

Assisting with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Supporting students in individual and group therapy sessions

Preparing and organizing materials for therapy activities

Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records

Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and school staff to promote student success

Participating in team meetings and required training
