Contract School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) - Anoka, MN
Are you a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist looking for a rewarding short-term contract in a supportive school environment? We are seeking an enthusiastic OT to join a fantastic district in Anoka, Minnesota, for the fall of 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team and help elementary students thrive.
Location: Anoka, MN Discipline: Occupational Therapy (OT) Start Date: September 4, 2025 End Date: November 27, 2025 Hours: .6 FTE (3 days per week) Work Day Hours: Flexible, generally 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Caseload: Elementary
Job Duties May Include:
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess students' fine motor skills, visual-motor integration, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) that address students' unique needs and promote their participation in the school environment.
- Providing direct and indirect occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students.
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the classroom and home settings.
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in IEP meetings.
- Recommending and adapting assistive technology and environmental modifications as needed.
Special Requirements:
- Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist (OT) license is required.
- Previous school-based experience with elementary-aged children is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
For this contract position, the average hourly rate is $45-$55 based on experience.
