About the Opportunity:
This district has multiple needs, offering a diverse and engaging caseload that will be tailored to your experience and expertise. You'll be an integral part of a collaborative team, providing essential services to students to enhance their participation in educational activities.
Job Duties May Include:
- Conducting comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to identify students' fine motor, gross motor, sensory processing, visual-perceptual, and self-care needs.
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) with measurable goals and objectives.
- Providing direct and indirect occupational therapy services in individual and group settings, addressing areas such as handwriting, cutting, self-feeding, dressing, and sensory regulation.
- Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into the classroom environment and daily routines.
- Consulting with school teams on adaptive equipment, environmental modifications, and strategies to support student access and participation.
- Monitoring student progress, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in IEP meetings.
Special Requirements:
- Active California Occupational Therapist License is required.
- No additional educator credential needed.
- Previous school-based experience is highly valued.
Compensation:
For this contract position, the average hourly rate of $60-$70 based on experience.
