Your Impact as a School-Based SLP
As a Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting, youll provide targeted intervention for students with a wide range of communication challenges. Youll conduct evaluations, participate in IEP development, implement therapy plans, and consult with teachers and families to support academic and social development. Your clinical insight and compassion will help students overcome barriers, develop stronger communication skills, and thrive both in and out of the classroom.

To qualify for this role in the state of Virginia, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Active Virginia SLP License from the Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

Licensure or certification through the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) for school-based services

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) strongly preferred; CFY candidates will be considered

Must complete all district-required background and fingerprinting procedures
