School Psychologist Job Duties

Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify students academic and emotional needs

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and intervention strategies

Provide counseling, crisis intervention, and behavioral support services

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student well-being and success

Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with all district, state, and federal regulations

Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to provide professional insights and recommendations
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

Current South Carolina School Psychologist certification required

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by South Carolina school districts
