Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to serve students in Norfolk and Virginia Beach area schools. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with educators, families, and support staff to foster academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and positive learning environments.
Responsibilities:

Conduct psychological and educational assessments to identify students needs.

Provide individual and group counseling to support social, emotional, and behavioral development.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create effective interventions and strategies.

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of student plans.

Deliver crisis intervention and ongoing student support when needed.

Maintain accurate records, evaluations, and required documentation.

Serve as a key resource for staff and families regarding mental health and learning challenges.
Requirements:

Masters or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.

Active Virginia state licensure/certification as a School Psychologist.

Knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education processes.

Strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

Previous school-based experience preferred.
