Requirements:

Must meet all local and state licensure requirements for Occupational Therapists in Maryland

Masters Degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program

Active Maryland OT license issued by the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Practice

Experience working with special education students and families highly preferred

Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and school-based services
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students with physical, sensory, and fine motor challenges
-
Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress assessments to determine student needs
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
-
Support students in developing skills for classroom participation, daily routines, and functional independence
-
Recommend and train staff in the use of adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications
-
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and compliance records
-
Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development opportunities
