Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Duties

Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students

Develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans based on student needs

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to support student progress

Document and monitor student performance, adjusting interventions as needed

Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Federal and State Requirements
-
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program

Current North Dakota SLP license required
-
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and related education laws

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by North Dakota school districts
