There is a full-time contract opportunity for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Virginia Beach, VA. Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing qualified professionals for this school-based position, scheduled to run from January through June.
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements set in place by local and state regulations. Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to students IEP goals.

Provide direct and consultative speech therapy services to students in individual and small-group settings.
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student learning and communication.
-
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress notes, reports, and compliance paperwork.

Participate in IEP meetings, case conferences, and staff development sessions.

Provide education and support to school personnel and families on communication strategies and use of assistive technology.
Requirements:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Active Virginia SLP license and Virginia Department of Education certification.

ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.

Prior school-based experience strongly preferred.
