Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
There is a full-time contract opportunity for an experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Minden, LA. Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing for this school-based position, scheduled to run from January through May.
To be considered, candidates must meet all requirements set in place by local and state regulations. Experience working with special education students and families is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).

Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans and intervention programs based on students IEP goals.

Support communication skill development in both individual and small-group settings.

Prepare instructional materials and assist with data collection to monitor student progress.

Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support speech and language goals in the classroom environment.

Maintain accurate service logs, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.

Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development as required.
Requirements:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.

Current Louisiana SLPA license.

Supervision by a licensed SLP as required by state regulations.

Previous school-based experience strongly preferred.
