Position Overview:
Blazer Jobs has an excellent opportunity for a certified School Psychologist to join the Chesapeake Public Schools team. This full-time, on-site role involves supporting K12 students through psychological assessment, consultation, and intervention to promote educational and emotional success.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct psycho-educational evaluations and interpret assessment results to guide instruction and interventions.

Participate in eligibility meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to design and implement behavior and learning supports.

Provide consultation to staff regarding student mental health, classroom strategies, and school-wide interventions.

Support crisis response and prevention programs as part of the districts mental health initiative.

Assist with RTI/MTSS processes and data-based decision-making for student interventions.

Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to Virginia Department of Education guidelines.
Qualifications:

Masters or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field.

Valid Virginia School Psychologist license or eligibility for state certification.

Demonstrated experience conducting assessments and developing effective intervention strategies.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience working with diverse student populations strongly preferred.
