Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) Job Duties

Conduct psychological evaluations to assess academic, emotional, and behavioral needs

Develop and implement intervention plans to support student learning and well-being

Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings to provide recommendations

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to promote student success

Provide counseling and crisis intervention services when necessary

Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education guidelines
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in School Psychology from an accredited program

Current Texas LSSP license required

Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and FERPA regulations

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Fingerprinting and background clearance as required by Texas school districts
