What You'll Do
In your role as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, youll be responsible for evaluating and treating students with speech, language, and communication challenges that impact their educational progress. This includes conducting assessments, writing and implementing IEP goals, delivering therapy services, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and providing support and consultation to educators and families. Your impact will be felt daily as you help students strengthen their communication skills and self-confidence.
What You'll Need (Virginia Requirements)
To work in a Virginia public school setting, youll need a valid Virginia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology license, as well as a Postgraduate Professional License from the Virginia Department of Education with an endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology. A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences is required. While CCC is preferred, Clinical Fellows (CFs) are welcome and supported.
