Requirements:

Must meet all local and state licensure requirements for Speech Language Pathologists in Maryland
-
Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) through ASHA preferred
-
Active Maryland SLP license (or eligibility to obtain before start)

Prior experience with special education students and families highly preferred
Typical Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct speech and language therapy to students with communication, articulation, and fluency needs
-
Conduct evaluations, screenings, and progress assessments to guide instruction and therapy plans
-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student goals
-
Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, data collection, and progress reports
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to integrate communication strategies into daily activities
-
Provide consultation and support for staff implementing communication interventions in the classroom
-
Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and multidisciplinary team discussions
