Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our educational team for the 20252026 school year in Sarasota, FL. The SLPA will support the implementation of speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and play a key role in helping students improve communication skills to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy services as prescribed by the supervising SLP

Work with individual students or small groups to support communication development across a range of needs

Follow documented treatment plans and protocols

Collect data and maintain accurate records on student progress and performance

Support students with speech-language goals in both pull-out and classroom-based settings

Prepare therapy materials and resources as needed for sessions

Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success

Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and professional standards
Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelors degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Current SLPA licensure/registration in the state of Florida (or eligibility for licensure)

Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
