Occupational Therapist Job Duties

Assess students motor skills and functional abilities to determine therapy needs

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support student participation in school activities

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other service providers to integrate therapy into the classroom setting

Provide direct therapy services to improve fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills

Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports in compliance with district and state regulations
Federal and State Requirements

Masters or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
-
Active Washington State OT License required

Previous school-based experience preferred

Knowledge of IDEA, FAPE, and other applicable education laws

Must meet all state and district background clearance requirements
