Role Summary
As a School Occupational Therapist in Chesapeake, VA, you will assess and support students whose physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges impact their academic engagement and daily school activities. Youll collaborate closely with teachers, families, and educational teams to develop and implement individualized intervention plans that promote student success and functional independence in the school setting.
Responsibilities
Conduct occupational therapy assessments for students
Develop and implement individualized therapy goals and interventions
Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Document student progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed
Support students in developing fine motor, sensory integration, and self-care skills within the school environment
Requirements (Virginia)
Masters degree or higher in Occupational Therapy
Active Virginia Occupational Therapist license
Pediatric or school-based experience preferred
Strong communication, organization, and team collaboration skills
Employment Options
Local Contract
Full-time, on-site in the Chesapeake, VA area
Hourly rate: $42$48/hour, based on experience
Travel Contract
Full-time, on-site in the Chesapeake, VA area
Weekly take-home pay: Based on qualifications and travel needs
