A licensed Occupational Therapist with expertise in school-based services is needed to support K-12 students in a Montague, CA educational setting. This contractual position covers the current school year, providing vital therapy to enhance students functional abilities and promote academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and develop individualized occupational therapy plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to implement intervention strategies
- Provide direct therapy services to support sensory, motor, and cognitive skills essential for learning
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with educational and healthcare standards
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute clinical insights
Qualifications:
- Current Occupational Therapy license with experience in school settings
- Knowledge of K-12 developmental milestones and therapy techniques relevant to educational environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate with school staff and families
- Ability to adapt interventions to diverse student populations and individual needs
- Previous contract or school year experience preferred
