Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide comprehensive services within a K-12 school setting in Charleston, SC. This contract position offers an opportunity to deliver specialized speech-language support to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade. The assignment covers a maternity leave through the end of the school year, from January to May 28, 2026, working Monday through Friday for 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, evaluations, and diagnostic testing
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct, evidence-based therapy to students in collaboration with school staff
- Maintain detailed documentation and reporting consistent with school district standards
- Work itinerantly across assigned schools within Charleston County to effectively serve caseload needs
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology required; no Clinical Fellows or SLP Assistants will be considered
- Active and valid South Carolina state licensure in Speech-Language Pathology is mandatory; pending applications will not be accepted
- Experience working with a diverse K-12 student population in educational settings
- Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing special education services
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
