A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide comprehensive speech-language services within a K-12 school setting in North Charleston, SC. The role focuses on supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade under a contract lasting from January to May 28, 2026. This position is designed to cover a maternity leave and involves itinerant responsibilities, with possible assignments across multiple schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, evaluations, and provide direct speech and language therapy to students.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines.
- Manage caseload effectively, ensuring timely and quality services.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current active South Carolina state licensure for Speech-Language Pathologypending licensure will not be considered.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required; candidates who are Clinical Fellows (CFs) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) will not be considered.
- Experience working in school settings preferred.
- Strong knowledge of K-12 speech-language pathology services, assessments, and IEP processes.
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday through Friday.
