Full-Time School Social Worker Lansing, MI
BlazerJobs is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join a supportive school district in Lansing, MI. The ideal candidate will provide social, emotional, and behavioral support services to help students succeed academically and personally. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to address student needs, promote positive school culture, and ensure equitable access to educational opportunities.
Responsibilities:

Provide individual and group counseling to students.

Develop and implement behavior intervention plans.

Conduct social work assessments and provide crisis intervention as needed.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop IEPs and 504 plans.

Serve as a liaison between school, family, and community resources.

Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all state and district policies.
Requirements:

Must hold a current LMSW license through LARA (Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs).

Must have Full Approval or Professional Certification as a School Social Worker through the Michigan Department of Education.

Prior school-based experience is preferred but not required.
