This opportunity is for a dedicated social worker to support students within a K-12 educational setting in Joliet, IL. The role involves working closely with students, families, and school staff to address social, emotional, and behavioral challenges, fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Provide individual and group counseling to support student well-being
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention plans
- Connect students and families to community resources and services
- Advocate for students to ensure their academic and personal success
- Maintain confidential case records and documentation in compliance with school policies
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program
- Valid state Social Worker license or certification for schools
- Experience delivering social work services in a K-12 school environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse student population and school personnel
- Knowledge of community resources and mental health services relevant to children and families
