Blazer Jobs is partnering with a dedicated school district in Burbank, IL, to fill a full-time, onsite School Social Worker position for the current school year (ASAP 5/28/26). Job Summary
The Social Worker will serve students across a special education cooperative school, providing both individual and group counseling services. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with families, educators, and a multidisciplinary team to ensure the emotional and behavioral needs of students are met.
Daily Responsibilities Include:

Delivering individual and group counseling sessions for students with varying needs

Collaborating with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement intervention plans

Maintaining accurate case notes and student documentation in compliance with district and state requirements

Participating in IEP meetings and providing input on student goals and progress

Offering crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
-
Promoting social-emotional learning and student well-being
State Requirements

Must hold an active Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement in the State of Illinois

Will also consider licensed School Counselors with a valid PEL

Prior school-based experience strongly preferred
