Requirements & Qualifications
- Active State of Virginia Licensure as a School Psychologist required
- Valid DOE (Department of Education) Certification required
- Experience working with students in school-based settings
- Ability to conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
- Knowledge of crisis intervention and mental health support strategies
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and educational teams
- Commitment to full-time, on-site employment
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations and assessments
- Provide individual and group counseling services to students
- Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Develop and implement intervention strategies and behavior plans
- Provide consultation services to teachers, administrators, and families
- Support students' academic, social, and emotional development
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance records
- Contribute to school-wide mental health initiatives
