This role is ideal for professionals dedicated to supporting students emotional, behavioral, and social development while collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary teams.

Caseload Overview:
Serve special education students within a special education cooperative
Provide both individual and group counseling/therapy
Collaborate with families to support student needs and progress
Participate as an integral member of a multidisciplinary team
Engage in ongoing communication with teachers, administrators, and service providers
Support IEP development, behavioral interventions, and student documentation requirements
Key Responsibilities:
Provide socialemotional support through structured individual and group interventions
Conduct social development evaluations and contribute to IEP goals
Implement crisis intervention strategies and assist with de-escalation
Work collaboratively with special education teams, psychologists, counselors, and related service providers
Maintain consistent communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs
Support students in developing self-regulation, coping skills, and problem-solving strategies
Monitor and document student progress according to district guidelines
Facilitate referrals for additional community or mental health resources when appropriate
Requirements:
Active Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
Will also accept School Counselor applicants with an active PEL
Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field
Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, social-emotional frameworks, and school-based interventions
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Must include PEL and License Number when presented to the district
Must pass all required state, federal, and district background checks
