A K-12 school in Wauchula, FL, is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a contracted role during the current school year (CSY). This position requires professionals who hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology and have experience working within school settings.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience providing SLP services in schools, preferably K-12
- Strong understanding of speech and language development typical of school-aged children
- Ability to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, parents, and students
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans that align with students educational goals
- Monitor progress and adjust therapy plans accordingly
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations
