Occupational Therapist Job Duties

Evaluate and assess students fine motor, sensory processing, and functional skills in the school environment

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) and therapy plans

Provide direct and consultative therapy services to support students access to curriculum and daily routines

Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student growth and independence

Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
Federal and State Requirements

Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university

Active New Mexico Occupational Therapy License required

Previous school-based experience preferred

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
