Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time contract opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support K-5 students across multiple schools in Mobile, Alabama. The position involves working onsite with a diverse caseload in elementary and middle school settings, helping to address speech and language needs within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language support services to K-5 students identified with communication needs.
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and services delivered.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of effective communication programs.
- Travel between assigned schools, including elementary and middle school facilities, to deliver consistent support.
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the Board of Speech Examiners as an SLPA.
- Experience working in educational settings with children in grades K-5 preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and families.
- Ability to manage caseloads efficiently while maintaining compliance with school guidelines.
- Commitment to working onsite across multiple schools within Mobile, AL.
Location: Mobile, Alabama (On-site at assigned schools)
Schedule: Full-time, approximately 35 hours per week
