A dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a maternity leave contract in a K-12 school district located in Calhoun, GA. This full-time role involves providing specialized speech therapy services to young children across several daycare locations within the district.
Position Details:
- Location: Various daycare centers (~4-5) across the district
- Duration: Approximately December 22, 2025, to April 6, 2026, with flexible start and end dates for transition
- Schedule: Full-time, approximately 37.5 to 40 hours per week
- Caseload: Itinerant PreK position serving about 13 students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), managing around 39 students overall
Responsibilities:
- Deliver on-site speech-language pathology services to PreK children across multiple daycare sites
- Manage and maintain IEP documentation and case management for assigned students
- Collaborate with educators, caregivers, and district staff to implement effective communication interventions
- Travel between daycare facilities within the district to ensure consistent service delivery
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist license
- Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK populations, is highly desirable
- Strong organizational and communication skills to manage a caseload effectively while traveling between sites
