A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide critical support to PreK students during a maternity leave contract. This rewarding role serves a K-12 school district with a focus on early childhood intervention across multiple daycare sites.
Location:
- La Fayette, GA
- Itinerant within the district, servicing approximately 4-5 daycare centers (Head Start South and North)
Contract Duration:
- Approximately December 22, 2025, through April 6, 2026, with slight flexibility for transition
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to a caseload of approximately 13 primary PreK students, with additional support to around 39 students total
- Manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Travel within district daycares to provide onsite therapeutic interventions and collaborate with educational staff
- Maintain accurate documentation and data collection for student progress
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) SLP Educator Certificate
- Prior experience working in school settings is preferred
- Experience with PreK populations highly valued
- Strong organizational and communication skills to coordinate services across multiple sites
