Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support a K-12 public school district primarily serving an elementary population in Philipsburg, PA. This contract role will involve working Monday through Friday throughout the current school year, with the possibility of serving one or two buildings within the districts four-building system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in a school setting, focusing on developmental and therapeutic needs.
- Collaborate with school staff and administration under the supervision of the district's Occupational Therapy Director.
- Implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state policies.
Qualifications:
- Current certification and licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Experience providing occupational therapy services in a school environment preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple grade levels, primarily elementary K-12.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with educators, families, and clinical supervisors.
Location & Schedule:
- Position based in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania.
- Full-time equivalent (FTE), Monday through Friday.
- Contract duration: Current school year ending May 29, 2026.
