A part-time Occupational Therapist position is available in Aurora, IL, serving a K-12 school district for the 2026 school year. This contract role will cover a maternity leave from March 10 to September 6, 2026, providing essential OT services across diverse special education programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services tailored to K-12 students with varying needs, including autism and multi-needs caseloads.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with applicable regulations and policies.
Caseload Distribution (Minutes per Week):
- Walnut Trails Autism: 390 minutes
- Minooka Central High School REACH program: 90.27 minutes
- Minooka South High School REACH program: 56.25 minutes
- County Special Education Cooperative Multi-Needs: 150 minutes
- County Special Education Cooperative Autism: 150 minutes
Qualifications:
- Valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting preferred.
- Familiarity with special education programs, particularly autism spectrum disorders and multi-needs support.
- Ability to work approximately 14 hours per week, fitting within the specified timeframe.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
