A K-12 school in Aurora, IL is seeking a skilled School Psychologist to support their diverse student population during the current school year through a contract position ending May 29, 2026. This role offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with full-time hours consisting of 37.5 hours per week. The position requires in-person work, providing direct psychological services to students in a dynamic educational environment.
Preferred candidates will be bilingual in Spanish, which is considered a significant advantage in serving the community effectively. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators and families to support student success across academic, social, and emotional domains.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and interpret results for students K-12
- Develop and implement individual student support plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to address student needs
- Provide counseling services and crisis intervention when necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to special education eligibility decisions
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of services and progress
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual Spanish skills highly preferred but not required
- Ability to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time in person
