A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to provide support services within a K-12 school environment in Murrieta, CA. This onsite, contract role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with students across various school sites, contributing to their occupational therapy needs and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy support services under supervision to students with diverse needs.
- Assist in makeup services to ensure all therapy sessions are completed effectively.
- Collaborate with school staff and therapists to implement individualized plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy services and student progress.
- Uphold confidentiality and adhere to school and professional standards at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Previous experience working in a school setting, preferably K-12.
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational professionals.
- Ability to manage caseload responsibilities and maintain detailed records.
- Comfortable working onsite within various school locations.
Location: Murrieta, California (onsite at multiple school sites)Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week, contract duration starting ASAP for a minimum of 3 months, with potential extension up to 45 months.
