Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) to support K-12 students across two campuses an elementary and an intermediate or middle school in the Richmond, TX area. This contract position runs through June 5, 2026, with a focus on providing comprehensive psychological services within a supportive, onsite environment.
Responsibilities include conducting approximately two psychoeducational evaluations per week, participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, staffings, and Manifestation Determination Reviews (MDRs). While mental health specialists handle related counseling services, this role centers on assessments, data interpretation, and collaborative decision-making to support student success. Bilingual candidates are preferred to better serve the diverse student population.
Key qualifications:
- Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) credentialed by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologists
- Masters degree or higher in school psychology or a related field from an accredited institution
- Experience working in K-12 school settings, preferably with diverse student populations
- Ability to complete required evaluations timely and participate actively in team meetings
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective multidisciplinary teamwork
