A full-time school-based Music Therapist with active MT-BC certification is needed to support elementary students in Katy, TX, within South and West divisions of a large independent school district. This contract position runs through 6/4/2026 and offers the opportunity to apply specialized therapeutic music services aligned with student IEPs to promote educational and developmental progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct music therapy services tailored to individual student IEP goals
- Conduct evaluations and assessments related to student progress and needs
- Track and document therapy outcomes and report to school staff and families
- Collaborate with educators and specialists to integrate music therapy into classroom and school programming
- Deliver staff training on music therapy approaches and strategies as required
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Music Therapy from an accredited program
- Active Music Therapist-Board Certified (MT-BC) credential required
- Experience providing music therapy services in school settings preferred
- Ability to complete district-required fingerprinting and drug screening promptly
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to South and West division schools
