A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services at an elementary school in Chowchilla, CA. This contract position offers a full-time, school-year schedule, working onsite to support a diverse student population with speech and language needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver quality speech and language therapy to a caseload of 60-65 students, including 25-30 receiving speech-only services.
- Manage high caseloads and coordinate referrals efficiently.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and collaborate with facilitators as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation and comply with school district protocols and standards.
- Engage in ongoing communication with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California SLP credential with 2+ years of experience in California schools.
- At least 1 year of experience using the Special Education Information System (SEIS).
- Experience supervising SLPAs preferred.
- Ability to manage a high caseload and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Candidates holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Candidates who are Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellows are welcome to apply; SLPA applicants will not be considered.
- Bilingual proficiency is advantageous but not required.
