Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Madera, CA. This contract role for the current school year offers an opportunity to work directly with students in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an SLP in California schools
- At least 1 year of experience with Special Education Information System (SEIS)
- Experience supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and facilitators is preferred
- Ability to manage high caseloads and incoming referrals efficiently
- Open to Speech-Language Pathologists and Clinical Fellows (CFs); SLPAs are not eligible
- Onsite work required, no remote options
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to a diverse caseload of approximately 60-65 students, with 25-30 students receiving speech-only services
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Utilize SEIS for documentation and reporting
- Potentially supervise and work alongside an SLPA to enhance service delivery
- Maintain compliance with district and state regulations throughout service provision
