Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time, contract SLP opportunity is available at an elementary school in Kerman, CA, for the current school year (CSY). This role is ideal for experienced speech-language pathologists who can manage a high caseload and have a strong background working within California schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to elementary students with diverse needs
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60-65 students, including 25-30 students requiring speech-only services
- Collaborate with support staff, including supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) when applicable
- Ensure compliance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and state regulations
- Maintain accurate records and reporting of student progress
- Onsite presence required, with full-time hours totaling 37.5 per week
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of California school experience as an SLP
- At least 1 year of experience using the Special Education Information System (SEIS)
- Ability to manage high referrals and caseload effectively
- Experience supervising SLPAs and facilitators preferred
- Certification: Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) status accepted; no SLPAs
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory
