An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive services in a K-12 school setting. This contract position runs from December 1, 2025, through May 21, 2026, with onsite responsibilities in Texico, NM. The role offers a caseload focused on direct therapy and evaluations for students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy services to students across K-12 grades
- Conduct thorough speech and language evaluations to assess student needs
- Collaborate with educators and school staff to develop tailored intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes
- Adapt caseload based on professional experience and preferences to optimize student outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology certification or licensure in the state of New Mexico
- Experience working within school environments, preferably with K-12 populations
- Strong assessment and therapeutic skills across a range of speech and language disorders
- Ability to manage varying caseload sizes responsively and effectively
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with school personnel and families
